Our history

The history of Sirelma is inextricably linked to the hot forging evolution rooted in the industrial district of Canavese, in Busano.
For over 60 years, it is the symbol of the Serena’s family dedication along with all the people who, through their expertise and commitment, have contributed to making Sirelma Group a benchmark in the industry both in Italy and abroad.

Where everything started

Emilio Serena founded Selma S.p.A., a company specialized in hot forging of medium and large-sized components in Busano.
1980
The expansion

Gianluigi Serena, Emilio’s son, established Sirem S.r.l. to expand the production with mechanical and screw presses.

The first breakthrough

The company introduces new induction furnace technology for steel heating, replacing oil-fired furnaces.
